Garbage Men

I just watched the garbage collectors come to my garbage bin, peer inside, and drive away. Granted we have carpet in our bin, they are still supposed to take it away. Today is bulk day!

Nursing is stupid

All my job possibilities are falling through. My oral surgery job is just totally not what I want to do and even though the salary and hours were good, the benefits sucked. I ended up turning it down (mainly because I was going to transfer to another unit in my hospital). Well, my transfer within my hospital didn't work because the assistant vice president of nursing and the nurse manager on the floor were arguing during my interview about whether or not there is actually an opening on the floor (even though the sheet said there was). I feel like I'm wasting my time. I hate nursing.

For now, I'll just continue to work in the burn unit.

Air Conditioning

The air conditioning in my car doesn't work...and it's hot outside. Will somebody please give me some money to fix it? Thank you!

I quit!

Last night I did something very bold. I quit my job! Really I gave my two weeks notice. We'll see if I have a job at the end of two weeks. Yikes!

Brad's brother, Mark

Brad's brother, Mark, is in London studying abroad for the summer. Luckily, he wasn't hurt in the bombings. However, he did miss the bombing by one train. That's very scary. Very very scary. He was interviewed by a news station in Albany and here is a link to the interview:

Brad and I are so happy that he wasn't on that train. :-)

It's hot

After returning from vacation in Las Vegas where it was 112 degrees on the strip, we are in Augusta where it's 90 degrees and 90% humidity. It's really fabulous now that my air conditioner in my car doesn't work. We were reading all the news on Natalee Holloway in Aruba and we saw that the average temperature year round is 80s. Nice, huh. We'll definitely add Aruba to our residency destination list. No more humidity...
